House Rules of the Blogging Competition


Dear Friends,

Please read below terms and conditions of the blogging competition.

  1. this competition is open for all Indonesian Bloggers who reside in Indonesia or outside the country
  2. only those who are 18 years and above can join this competition
  3. the competition is divided into three different period. The first period (6 April – 6 May 2008) fits the theme of Intercultural Dialogue; the second period (6 May – 6 June 2008) will cover the theme of Creative Economy; and the third period (6 June – 15 July 2008) will cover the issue of Climate Security
  4. participants may join one period only, but it is suggested to join the whole period
  5. participants who have joined the first period and are willing to join the next period should re-register their blogs through this page
  6. First winners of every period will be taken into account as the grand prize winner (one laptop)
  7. winners of each period will be announced two weeks after the closing date at the latest; winner of grand prize will be announced in August 2008.
  8. postings can be written both in English and in Bahasa Indonesia
  9. one participant should only register one blog for this competition
  10. this competition is a serious-but-fun competition, so we don’t encourage you to use ‘slang’ words in your postings.
  11. the postings will be judged based on originality, clarity of message, creativity, and interaction with readers
  12. plagiarism is strictly prohibited
  13. the decision of the judges is final
  14. if there are quotations in your postings, do not forget to also mention sources where the quotations are taken from
  15. no correspondence will be allowed or will be entered into before, during, and after the competition
  16. always update yourself with information posted by the-bcnow60-team at this official weblog.

Blogging competition - 1st period


Dear friends,

Some of you must have known that for the first period of the Blogging Competition we raise the issue on ICD (intercultural dialogue).

ICD is one of British Council’s three main work focuses beside Knowledge Economy and Climate Security.

Bloggers who participate in this competition should post entries which related to the ICD theme,  those could be articles, comments on BC programmes, photos, or anything else. Don’t forget to add a specific tag ‘BC blog competition - ICD’  to your entries.

This first period competition is open for one whole month, 6 April to 6 May 2008; and the registration date is closed at 30 April 2008. Please click here to register.
